Beach Lovers! it’s the last day of January 2020!!

How are your intentions holding up?

Relax…you still have 11 more months to manifest your dreams!

Speaking of dreams, if you’re a Mental health professional, you might not have the opportunity to be on the Oprah show or any other large media platform - yet.  But, that doesn’t mean you can’t realize your dream of making an impact - now.

INTAKE TV is an online talk show that provides professionals in the helping field with a platform for open and honest discussions about today’s most pressing mental health topics:

It’s The Mental Health Show that’s Taking Mental Health Issues to Another Level - shining a light on the “unspoken societal and cultural norms and stigmas” that are having a profound affect on the human psyche.

INTAKE TV strives to de-stigmatize mental illnesses in a professional, creative, and entertaining way.

In today’s episode I speak with Bertha Freeman-Barrett, Creator, Host, Executive Producer of INTAKE, and co-host Jules Jean-Pierre.

Bertha is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern and also a certified trauma professional who assists survivors or victims of recent, or past trauma.  She is a firm advocate against domestic violence and passionate about educating, empowering, and assisting clients and individuals to live their best life.

Jules is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who works with individuals and families dealing with addiction - assisting them in transitioning to their new desired life goals. She is also a certified trauma professional who helps individuals work through recent or past trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and relationship and parenting issues.

You know, I thought I knew a fair amount about therapy - but what I didn’t know was how much of a stigma there is about it - especially with “people of color” - I’m so grateful for what these women bring to the table and their willingness to open up and really “go there” - I learned a lot.

Ok, Conscious Community - it’s time to take the stigma out of mental health!
